Sunday 22nd June 2014 :
Linda, James, Dave, Stu, Luke's first outing as a trainee. All nets up slightly early therefore, another glorious morning, the day after the Summer equinox.
Only 31 birds caught, mostly in the far net in the scrub area.
Retraps in brackets.
Reed Warbler 2 ( 6 ), Chiffchaff 2, Sedge Warbler ( 5 ), Whitethroat 2, Blue Tit 2, Wren ( 1 ), Blackcap 6, Reed Bunting 2, Robin 1
Great news however: Grasshopper Warbler heard reeling just beyond far net.
Other birds seen: Buzzard, Grey Heron, Green Sandpiper
