Lithuanian Starling caught at roost ...

Sunday 2nd January 2016

Dave, Joe, Stuart - 2 roost nets along lines 8&9 from CES

Lovely crisp, cold evening with colourful sunset.  Numbers built to an estimated 3,000 birds and they did plenty of aerial displaying.  Also a good 200+ Reed Buntings seen coming in.

In the end we caught 40 Starlings, with one star capture being a Lithuanian ringed bird - young female bird.
