CES 4 : Another calm and sunny early start - Whitethroat and Garden Warbler highlights

Sunday 1st June 2014:

Linda and I had the nets up by 5.50am, and ringing was steady and a bit quieter than on previous visits. A few more female Reewa and Sedwa caught, suggesting moving around for food.

Birds ringed: Dunnock 1 (3), Robin 3 juveniles, Wren 2 juveniles, Sedge Warbler 2 (1), Whitethroat 2, Reed Warbler 3 (5), Song Thrush 1, Reed Bunting 1, Great Tit 1, Blue Tit 1, Chiffchaff 1, Garden Warbler 1

Total birds ringed: 28

Also seen and heard - Cuckoo still very active, only a couple of brief bursts of Blackcap.
