With plug out, sadly scrape still had ankle-deep water, but a few waders (Lapwing and Oystercatcher) about towards dusk.
Joe, Stu, Dave and James - all night and early dawn catch - 3 nets by new shed.
No waders caught - only one Green Sandpiper heard.
Early morning - Reed Warbler 6/3, Blackbird 1/0, Blue Tit 2/0, Blackcap 4/0, Garden Warbler 1/0, Chiffchaff 1/0, Sedge Warbler 3/0, Reed Bunting 0/2
Do you know if the reeds have been cut down in front of hide.It is a struggle for me so did not want to go for nothingg
ReplyDeleteYes. Visibility is now good. We had to leave them long as there was a pair of Reed Warblers nesting right in front. Good views of waders, Egret, Heron today. Hirundines come in for feed / roost in evening.
