Sunday 18th December 2016:
Dave, Joe, Stuart, Dave B - more work clearing the side of the scrape followed by a roost attempt to catch Starlings. Only a few caught, but treated to an estimate c2,000 birds - most of which went down either towards net 7 of CES or on the reservoir.
Birds caught:
Blue Tit 4 (3), Great Tit 3 (3), Wren 0 (1), Reed Bunting 15 (6), House Sparrow 1 (0), Starling 11 (0)
Also seen: 28 Snipe, 1 Jack Snipe, Teal, Cetti's Warbler, Sparrowhawk
